Bon Iver Releases For Emma, Forever Ago

Justin Vernon releases Bon Iver's debut album on Jagjaguwar, recorded alone over three months in his father's hunting cabin in northwestern Wisconsin following a breakup, illness, and the dissolution of his previous band. The nine-track record is built around Vernon's falsetto and layered vocal harmonies and becomes one of the defining indie folk albums of its era.
