Ciara Releases 'Basic Instinct'

Ciara releases her fourth album, which spawned the hit song "Ride" with Ludacris. Shortly after the album release, she published a statement detailing the issues she experienced with the album. Most notably, she alone paid over $100,000 for the "Gimmie Dat" video as the label refused to promote the singles.
