At Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital, one of India's largest Covid-only facilities, there are so many new cases that unrelated patients are having to share a bed, while those who have recently died lie outside before being taken to the mortuary. From reporting under 10,000 new daily cases at the beginning of 2021, daily infections are now surpassing 200,000 in India.
