D'Angelo Releases Black Messiah

D'Angelo surprise-releases his third album fourteen years after Voodoo, pulling a Beyoncé by dropping it digitally overnight with no prior announcement. Inspired in part by the protests following the killing of Michael Brown, the album wins Best R&B Album at the Grammys and is named one of the greatest records of its era.
