Dirk Nowitzki Wins MVP

The nine-year NBA veteran totaled 1,138 points for MVP voting. Rounding out the top five were Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, and LeBron James. The award caused a lot of controversy because commentators and fans felt like he wimped out of the playoffs and took Dallas down with him. In the clinching game 6, Nowitzki shot just 2-13 from the field for only eight points.
