Egypt Holds Its First Presidential Election

Egypt held its' first presidential election in 2005. It was the first-ever multi-party, multi-candidate election in Egypt's history. The election was tainted by voter fraud, ballot stuffing, boycotts and more. It resulted in only 30% of the population voting. Hosni Mubarak won for the 5th year in a row.
