In an ESPN Highly Questionable interview, Gucci opened up about his mental health and drug addiction, before turning his life around. He suffered from pre-prison paranoia that stemmed from PTSD. Feeling like someone else was always going to try to hurt him, he felt like he needed to hurt them first to protect himself. Getting off drugs helped him to come out of the darkness on the other side.
