Illinois Governor Removed From Office
Rod Blagojevich's removal from office marked the first time in 20 years that a sitting governor was ousted. The senate uncovered that he intended to sell President Barack Obama's vacant seat for his own personal gain. He had also been under investigation on corruption charges for more than two years, but was only arrested after the FBI tapped his phone and overheard his plans.
