During her halftime performance at the Super Bowl 2004, Janet Jackson faced a major wardrobe malfunction. Nicknamed, "Nipplegate" Janet Jackson's breast was exposed by Justin Timberlake for half a second. Over 143.6 million viewers tuned into the performance. After the performance, Janet Jackson's singles and music videos were blacklisted by Viacom and MTV. The incident led to the creation of the term "wardrobe malfunction" and made Janet Jackson the most searched person in 2004/2005.
