Kanye West Releases "808s & Heartbreak"

808s & Heartbreak is the fourth album from Kanye West. It was released in 2008 and is considered one of West's best albums to date. Kanye's style on the album featured more Auto-Tune and explored themes of heartache/loss. A major difference from his previous albums. Prior to its release, West lost his mother Donna West, and ended a long term relationship. 808s & Heartbreak debuted number one on the Billboard 200 and features four singles. The album was famously snubbed by the Grammys despite its critical acclaim.
