Breakaway was Kelly Clarkson's second album. It was different from her first as it highlighted her new pop-rock sound, but was still extremely successful. A commercial success, the album sold 12 million copies and became Clarkson's best-selling project. After debuting at number three on the Billboard 200, Breakaway stayed on the top twenty for more than a year, eventually being certified 6x multiplatinum.
