Lauryn Goes Diamond

After 23 years, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill gets awarded with the diamond certification. With this award, Lauryn Hill also becomes the first female MC in history to receive the honor. With tracks such as "Everything Is Everything" and "Doo Wop (That Thing)," the LP sold over 400,000 copies within the first week of its release and debuted at the top of the charts. In 1999, the project also earned 10 nominations and 5 awards at the GRAMMYs.
