Lionel Messi Makes His Debut

A 16-year-old Messi makes his official debut for FC Barcelona when he comes on as a substitute in a friendly against Porto. Although he didn't score, he showed glimpses of the growing genius he would become. He produced a handful of trademark weaving runs forward, and even spurned a couple of goalscoring chances. While his team lost 0-2, Barcelona's coaches were still quite impressed with his performance.
