Los Angeles Hit by Major Wildfire Firestorm

Wildfires had already been burning in Southern California, but the situation escalated fast on January 7 as powerful Santa Ana winds and dry conditions pushed flames into overdrive. Fires including the Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire spread rapidly, forcing mass evacuations and causing widespread damage across parts of Los Angeles County.
