Malika Andrews Hosts The NBA Draft

Title IX, the landmark decision that opened doors for women in sports, turned 50 this year. And on its anniversary, reporter Malika Andrews became the first woman to host the NBA draft. An Oakland native, she first fell in love with journalism while she was a student at the University of Portland and has been taking the industry by storm ever since. She first appeared as part of NBA Draft coverage in 2020 and became one of the youngest reporters to work the NBA Conference Finals.
