Mike Rounds Attempts To Ban Abortion In South Dakota

On February 22nd, 2006 Mike Rounds signed off on an act that would ban all medical abortions except those necessary to save the mother's life. The ban was set to take effect in July, however, it did not. The act was challenged in court and placed on the Nov 2006 election ballot. Voters repealed the law on the same day of Round's reelection.
