National Geographic Has Been Racist

The magazine admits that its past coverage of people around the world was racist. After re-examining its coverage to mark 50 years since Martin Luther King Jr.'s murder, editor Susan Goldberg says it ignored non-white Americans and showed different groups as exotic or savage, propagating "every type of cliché."
