Police Are No Longer Allowed to View Your Phone Without A Court Order

In the Riley v. California case, the US Supreme Court ruled that police officers could not examine the contents of a cell phone without a court order. Any searches without a warrant is considered unconstitutional. Thus creating an added layer of privacy for those being arrested.
