Founded by Damon Dash and Jay-Z in 1999, Rocawear became extremely popular in the 2000s. The clothing brand became known for it velour sweatsuits and trendy clothing. The popularity lasted many years. In 2007, Jay-Z sold the sights to Iconix Brand Group.
