
Senates Apologizes For Failing To Pass Anti-Lynching Legislation
The United States Senate issued a formal apology for failing to create or pass any anti-lynching legislation. Predominantly due to racism lynching took the lives of thousands of African American men, women and children. No bills were able to be passed during the lynching era. At most, three were passed by the House of Representatives but none by the Senate. To date, no bill has been passed.
