Shrek The Sheep Gets Shorn

Shrek The Sheep Gets Shorn

Shrek the Sheep rose to international fame in 2004 after he avoided being caught and shorn for six years. Merino sheep are normally shorn once a year, but Shrek would hide in caves refusing to be touched. After finally being caught, he was professionally shorn in 20 minutes, which was broadcast on national TV in New Zealand. His fleece contained so much wool that it was enough to make 20 large men's suits.
