Slack Is Acquired For $27.7B

Salesforce solidified its largest deal, acquiring Slack for $27.7 billion. The deal allowed for Salesforce to compete against Microsoft in yet another market, with the companies already going head-to-head in sales software, data visualization and productivity tools. Slack has still seen limited success from the pandemic and the rise of remote work, compared to Microsoft Teams.
