Syria Withdraws From Lebanon

After 29 years of occupation, Syria completed its withdrawal from Lebanon. Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad announced the decision on March 5th, 2005. The decision came after the Cedar Revolution, a series of protests in Lebanon triggered by the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister, Rafik Harari.
