The “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” Policy Ends

The "Don't Ask, Don’t Tell" policy came to an end after Congress voted to repeal the policy. President Obama signed off on the legislation as well. The policy was initially established during the Clinton Administration. It prohibited military officials from talking about their sexual orientation. Specifically forcing gay, lesbian or bisexual officers to remain closeted.
