After its premiere, the film grossed $217 million worldwide but was universally crushed by critics. At the 38th Golden Raspberry Awards, it won four categories: Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Screen Combo, and Worst Screenplay, making it the first animated film to receive nominations and wins in any of those categories.
