There's Water On The Moon

NASA uses a rocket to to punch a hole about 100 ft. across the moon's surface, locating 25 gallons of water vapor and ice. There was speculation that that there may be enough water to sustain future colonies of astronauts. The first priority was to figure out where the water came from and measure how much more of it there was.
