Universal Studios Hollywood Fire Destroys Classic Films

A fire on the backlot of Universal Studios Hollywood destroyed three-acres of land. It ruined 40,000 to 50,000 archived digital video/film copies and demolished the King Kong Encounter ride. The fire started when a worker forgot to double check his work after using a blowtorch.
