YouTube Is Created

The online video-sharing platform was founded by three former PayPal employees. The platform allowed users to upload, view, rate, share and comment on videos. Since its creation, more than 500 hours of video is uploaded to YouTube every minute. The inspiration for the site started after Janet Jackson's famous 2004 Super Bowl performance.
