G8 Leaders Pledge Billions To Africa

During the 31st summit, G8 leaders pledged to double African Aid to $50 billion by 2010. Poverty surrounding Africa and global warming were prominent issues during the meeting. Leaders were interested in helping Africa develop economically and cancel their debt.
