Google Gets A New Home
Google opens its first self-designed campus in Mountain View, California. The Bay View headquarters features 90,000 silver solar panels, which generates 40% of the building's energy. It also incorporates various other green initiatives like air quality, lighting, and acoustics to increase sustainability. Designed by architects at Bjarke Ingels Group and Heatherwick Studio, the campus takes up 1.1 million square feet and sits on 42 acres of land.
