Sony Acquires Bungie

Sony drops $3.7 billion to acquire Bungie - the studio behind Destiny and the entire Halo franchise. Bungie is set to remain a multi-platform studio but now has the opportunity to reach more players and expand live game services. The company had previously signed into a 10-year deal with Activision but they eventually split, paving the way for Sony to come in and snag it.
