The Biggest Plant On Earth
The world's largest plant is a self-cloning seagrass seed. Born about 4,500 years ago in what is now known as Shark Bay, the species is located just off Australia's west coast. Relatively undisturbed by humans over the years, the seed has grown to become the biggest plant anywhere on Earth, covering 77 square miles.
