The First Flight On Mars

NASA proves that powered, controlled flights from the surface of another planet is possible. A rotorcraft, named Ingenuity, ascended on Mars today. The Ingenuity Mars Helicopter’s mission is astrobiology, characterizing the planet’s geology and past climate, paving the way for human exploration of the planet, and it will also be the first mission to collect Martian rock.
