Uvalde School Shooting
Two days before Summer break was set to begin, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos opens fire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, killing nineteen students and two teachers, and wounding seventeen people. The children were in the second, third, and fourth grades. Ramos was eventually shot and killed on the scene but it was later discovered that the police waited too long to intervene. The attack was the 213rd mass shooting of the year.
