Mount Redoubt Erupts

After 20 years of no activity, Alaska's Mount Redoubt Volcano erupted. The eruption sent a cloud of ash into the air and fall into the surrounding Skwentna and Chuitna areas. After months of smaller activity, the cloud of volcanic ash reportedly reached 50,000 feet above sea level.
